Optomi Recognized as One of the "Best Staffing Firms to Work For" for the Second Consecutive Year
March 18, 2015
For the second consecutive year, Staffing Industry Analysts announced Optomi as a finalist for their prestigious award “2015 Best Staffing Firms to Work For” during its Executive Forum award ceremony in Orlando, Florida yesterday. Optomi is the youngest company ever to achieve this recognition.
The firm thrives on a culture of passionate employees with innovative thinking and a dedicated work ethic. “The Optomi leadership is dedicated to cultivating a strong company culture that values passion, genuineness and innovation among other core values," says COO Todd Black, “but our people are what make us one of the best staffing firms to work for.” Optomi nurtures a creative environment that encourages its employees to find a way to be unique as they relate with clients and consultants. The IT staffing firm differentiates itself through its skill-set focus, technology-driven processes, consultant-centered philosophy and its spirit of giving back.
Optomi launched in the fourth quarter of 2012 with two offices. It has since grown to seven branches in markets all across the country. The firm is focused on an organic growth model, hiring exceptional talent and promoting top performers into leadership positions and incremental new markets. The IT staffing firm specializes in deploying project managers, business analysts, and technologists in the ever-evolving spaces of mobile technology, network design, cloud and application development. Optomi’s niche approach and dedicated focus on higher-end IT skills enables the firm to better identify candidates with these in-demand skills.
Led by co-founders Michael Winwood (formerly the President & COO of Technisource – a $550 million+ IT services leader) and Todd Black (formerly the Senior Vice President of Technisource), the privately held firm opened its first offices in the Atlanta and Chicago markets and has since expanded into Dallas, Baltimore/DC, Detroit and Southern California.
ABOUT THE SURVEY
Over 100 staffing firms took part in the survey given on behalf of Staffing Industry Analysts by an independent research firm specializing in employee engagement. Internal employees at each firm were asked to complete a 40-question online survey that measured 10 key engagement categories including teamwork, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation and benefits. “The Best Staffing Firms to Work For” program recognizes staffing firms that have successfully built a workplace that has enabled employees to perform at their highest level,” said Barry Asin, president of Staffing Industry Analysts. “These companies understand the importance of a supportive working environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth that encourages an individual to bring passion and energy to the office each and every day.”
