
Optomi’s 2019 Opt2give Day Was a Hit Across the Country

Optomi had a fantastic Opt2Give Day, celebrating Optomi’s 7th birthday at some of our favorite charities!
The Atlanta team celebrated by giving back to Power My Learning, a long-time partner of ours, and an organization that is making a huge impact in the child-education and tech space in Atlanta. Great event with a great team!
Our Baltimore crew spent their day at the Maryland Food Bank and the Ulman House. During our visit to the food bank, we sorted more than 34,000 lbs of food and other necessities, which equates to more than 28,000 meals! We spent the day at the Ulman House making brunch for a number of their visitors, doing some general maintenance around the property, and filling a few postcards with words of encouragement for some of their former guests whose stories we’d read.
The Charlotte team had an amazing day volunteering at Beds for Kids! We spent the day organizing their warehouse, refurbishing old furniture, delivering furniture, assembling beds, and praying with families in need.
The Chicago office volunteered at Ardmore Elementary for JA in a Day! We taught multiple lessons to K-5 kids to help them understand the skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices!
Our Dallas team spent the day giving back at Uplift White Rock Hills Preparatory site! We read & helped the children pick out cool books to take home with many hugs. We also gifted the teachers with Amazon Fire Tablets for each class!
The Denver crew volunteered at Food Bank of the Rockies, sorting and packing food to go to different agencies around the city. There are 55 agencies total, and every day the food bank feeds about half a million people.
Our Detroit team volunteered at The Children’s Center, an organization that provides total family services to local families in need, including a clothing boutique, a library, cooking classes, and tutoring.
